Winter is finally here!
It’s so rare that I take pictures, and post about Jake and I. Mostly because of time, I’m too busy making sure everyone else gets their images!
With that being said the first snowfall in Ottawa last weekend made me really want to get some new and cozy indoor pictures of us. So I cleaned up the bedroom a bit and convinced Jake to patiently wait and pose while I captured some pictures. We’ve both been so incredibly busy it’s actually really hard to match up our schedules, so when our schedules are in sync we take full advantage. Sometimes we cuddle up and watch movies with popcorn, sometimes we go out adventuring. Last weekend we chose the former and watched Groundhog Day!
If you saw my post last week you saw that I just recently launched a new company with a partner! We specialize in personal branding and marketing photography on a continued membership base! We know how valuable having new, relatable, and personal content all the time is for social media, websites, blogs and so much more is. If you missed the blog post here it is.
Because of the work between this new venture and my wedding photography company I’ve been putting some things on the back burner. It can be hard to juggle so many things at once. An issue I know we all struggle with. I have days where I wonder if I’m doing anything right and it sucks. Then I have some days where everything seems to go really well and I can feel everything improving. It’s such a roller coaster, but I wouldn’t ask for it any other way. I feel really good in business and am so grateful for all the incredible couples that have booked me for 2019 and all the amazing things we’re doing at Fovea! I’m so proud of myself, that is hard to say, especially on a platform where many people will read it, but I’m just going to go ahead and say it again. I am proud of myself.
I wanted to share that to hopefully inspire and help you. It’s not easy, but you have to choose to rise above the struggle and keep pushing. Remember to look back and see where you were a year ago! You’ve probably come so far and didn’t even realize it, even if only in one aspect of your life. Growth is natural and something you must learn to evolve with. So go and be proud of yourself and work hard for the things in life that you want. And above all else remember that when you get a minute, take it. You deserve it. Enjoy a bath, movie, good book, hike, run, a good meal, whatever it is, do it for yourself!
p.s. You’ll notice a few blooper images I added just for fun seeing as this has turned into a more candid real talk post. May as well add some candid “real talk” images!
