These are all simple, easy and affordable last minute gifts for your friends and family that don’t require going to a mall. Thank goodness!! I think it’s safe to say that everyone gets busy and overwhelmed during the holiday season. It’s too easy to let all the gift buying, cooking and planning get the best of you. That is why I created this list, for the busy folk trying to keep their head afloat!
This list is fairly broad, so you can get a gift for your beauty lover bestie, hippy cousin or weird uncle.
This is kind of my favourite because it’s such an easy way to do something special and it doesn’t have to take that much time or money! Make your own homemade cookies, chocolate bark, fudge, holiday popcorn (check out my bourbon caramel corn recipe here!). Head to your local dollar store to get a cute Christmas tin or even use a silver one and put a holiday bow on it, so so simple. Finish it off with a nice hand written card and you have a super personal, kind and impressive gift. My favourite food blogs for easy recipes are Minimalist Baker, Oh She Glows and Hot For Food.
For the hippy in your life, go out and buy a house plant. I got this aloe plant at Sobeys for $4.99! It can be used for decoration, cuts, facemasks, and it’s a great air filter. The cherry on top is that it requires little watering. That’s a win for the owner and your wallet.
This is a great book for pretty much everyone! I think it’s safe to say we all can probably admit to spending too much time on our devices. This is a great read on how to stop depending on your device so much. It’s also a fairly small, quick and easy read. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone.
This may seem like it’s for the lady in your life but this can be used for pretty much anyone. This is my favourite skin care product (that and the powder face masks from Rocky Mountain Soap Company😃). This is a rose hip facial oil from an Australian company called Sukin. I bought this product on sale for $20 at Rexal drugs in Canada. I’ve been using it for a couple months, about 2-3 times a week before going to bed and my skin has never looked and felt better. Two huge thumbs up!
They also make other face products that I love just as much.
This gift works for anyone, although I used a bottle of Buffalo Trace Bourbon as an example you can get anything, Almond Baileys, a nice local gin, uniquely infused vodka, wine, or even a good whiskey. What I love about this one is you can choose how much to spend and it’s easily personalized according to the person you’re buying for. Get a nice bottle of $70 scotch or get a local $20 bottle of your favourite gin and dress it up with a bottle cozy and a homemade card with your favourite gin recipes.
I hope this helps you busy hustlers out there with your last minute gift buying! Thanks for reading and don’t forget to share this with your friends… In case they too are in need of some ideas!
