Patio COVID Wedding Ottawa
Laurel & Jesse had the sweetest micro wedding this Spring on their private patio in Ottawa! I arrived early to scout the area, take some pictures of their details, and get myself ready. While I was hanging out I got some fun pics of them playing with their dogs. Once their officiant and guests had arrived Zoom was set up and Laurel & Jesse stood up front where everyone could see them. There was a total of 10 guests including the couple, the officiant and myself. As well as a Zoom going for all their friends and family who couldn’t be in town because of COVID and COVID restrictions. It was for sure a pandemic wedding!
These two decided to go forward with their wedding no matter what. Waiting so you can have a bigger party is awesome, as a matter of fact, it’s what my partner and I are doing. But there is something special, intimate and unmistakably unique about following the guidelines and doing what you can with what you have in order to marry your love.
The ceremony was short, sweet and followed up with a beautiful speech from Laurel’s good friend. Once speeches were done Laurel gave her toast, where a few tears were shed, everyone cheers and enjoyed the celebratory moment! Everyone had a great time chatting and enjoying the rest of their bubbly before heading home.
When the guests left Laurel, Jesse and I continued on to take some fun couple photos. You may notice one photo of them holding a bottle of bubbly. This is not because they brought one, it’s because someone had seen them and decided to run and buy a bottle of bubbly for them! We also took images in front of their first date location, Ministry of Coffee!
