Winter Wedding at Ancaster Mill

Many of our family members commented on how great she was and that they felt comfortable in her presence – even those who are generally camera shy. If there’s one thing I’ve learned as a wedding photographer, it’s that every story is unique, and capturing these moments is both a privilege and an art. Just as Rachel and Brennan found their lobster in each other, I was there to capture the big event for them to have for years to come. Ancaster Mill, a local Hamilton gem, is such a beautiful venue for a wedding and I especially loved the winter snow.

Winter weddings are always a little bit more magical and this one proves that to be true. Brennan & Rachel’s wedding was magical, romantic and cozy. They had lots of earthy colours and candle lights to create this feeling.
Rachels dress might be one of my favourite parts because it is a thrifted dress! I absolutely love how unique and special her dress was. The lace detailing was so unique and so beautiful, it really was one of a kind. There was just one small hiccup with her dress… The zipper broke as she was putting it on! Thanks goodness for her mom who sprung into action and literally sewed the dress as it was on Rachel to ensure there were no slips of any kind. It’s safe to say I was very impressed and it’s highly likely that rachel had to be cut out of those stitches at the end of the night! haha
